NCT ID NCT05500482

Summary

This large study tested whether giving a new typhoid vaccine to people in specific neighborhoods of Vellore, India, would lower the number of typhoid fever cases in the community. Over 72,000 people aged 1 to 30 were monitored for two years. Researchers compared typhoid rates in areas where people got the vaccine right away to areas where they got it later, to see if the vaccine made a difference.
