Could a simple blood test warn families of diabetes risk?
NCT ID NCT07322380
Summary
This study aims to test whether a screening program is practical for finding early signs of type 1 diabetes in the adult relatives of people who already have it. It will enroll 1,000 adults in Quebec to see if they are willing to be screened with a blood test and follow a monitoring plan if they are found to be at risk. The goal is to gather knowledge about how to best set up such a program, not to treat or prevent diabetes directly.
