Summary
This study aims to understand how often a specific gene variant (HLA-DRB1*04:01) appears in adults recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will enroll 50 participants aged 18-45 who were diagnosed within the last 2 months. The study involves a single blood draw to analyze genetic information and will examine how this gene appears across different racial and ethnic groups.
