Blood Sugar-Fat index may spot hidden heart blockages

NCT ID NCT07451860

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test result, called the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, can help identify people with a severe type of heart artery blockage called chronic total occlusion (CTO). Researchers will review records of 200 adults who had heart catheterization to compare those with and without CTO. The goal is to see if the TyG index is a useful early warning sign.
