Spray-on solution aims to make C-Sections safer by controlling bleeding

NCT ID NCT07362992

Summary

This study is testing whether applying a medication called tranexamic acid (TXA) directly to the uterus during a planned C-section can reduce surgical bleeding. Researchers will compare the spray-on TXA to a harmless saltwater placebo in 112 women having planned C-sections. The goal is to see if this simple, localized treatment can help control bleeding, shorten surgery time, and improve recovery for mothers.
