Can a common drug make repeat C-Sections safer for moms and babies?

NCT ID NCT07390799

Summary

This study aims to see if giving a drug called tranexamic acid right after the baby is delivered can safely reduce blood loss during a repeat C-section. It will involve about 204 low-risk women having their second or third planned C-section. Researchers will compare blood loss and newborn health between women who receive the drug and those who get standard care.
