First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 06, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a simple five-point checklist called the TWIST score to help emergency doctors quickly and accurately diagnose testicular torsion in adult men with scrotal pain. The study will involve 1,000 men aged 18-40 at Swedish emergency departments. Researchers want to see if using this checklist can help doctors make faster decisions, reduce unnecessary scans, and get patients the urgent surgery they need more quickly.
