Nose job study questions need for extra surgery
NCT ID NCT07481045
Summary
This study aimed to find out if performing an extra procedure to reduce swollen nasal tissues (turbinates) during a combined cosmetic and functional nose surgery (septorhinoplasty) actually helps patients breathe better. 80 adults needing the surgery were randomly assigned to get the nose job alone or the nose job plus the turbinate reduction. Researchers measured patients' breathing symptoms and airflow for six months after surgery to see which approach worked better.
