First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a new exercise program for women with diastasis recti abdominis (DRA), a common condition where the abdominal muscles separate after pregnancy. The program combines trunk stabilization exercises with inspiratory muscle training (breathing exercises) to see if it can reduce the muscle gap and improve core function. Researchers will enroll 48 women who are at least 6 months postpartum and have a muscle gap larger than 2.8 cm. The goal is to find a safe, non-surgical way to help women recover strength and comfort.
