First seen Nov 24, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tracks 383 people who received a new type of hip replacement part, the Trident II Tritanium Shell, to see how well it holds up after 5 years. The main goal is to check if the shell needs to be replaced or removed, comparing it to similar devices already in use. Participants are adults aged 18-80 with non-inflammatory joint disease who are getting a first-time total hip replacement.
