First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests the drug triapine in 12 people with a rare type of uterine cancer (serous adenocarcinoma). Participants receive one dose of triapine before their scheduled hysterectomy. Researchers then examine the removed tumor tissue to see if the drug affects cancer cell growth markers. The goal is to gather early information, not to treat the disease.
