First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether giving a special mix of immune cells after an organ transplant can help the body accept the new organ without needing lifelong anti-rejection medication. Ten children and adults receiving kidney, lung, or intestinal transplants will get the cell infusion after a stable recovery period. The main goal is to see if the approach is safe and can reduce the risk of rejection and infection.
