First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested two different triage methods—Ten Second Triage (TST) and Sieve—to see which helps ambulance workers make faster and more accurate decisions during mass-casualty incidents. Over 200 paramedics and students in French-speaking Switzerland used computer simulations to triage injured patients. The goal was to find out which method better identifies who needs immediate care, potentially improving emergency response.
