Tretinoin cream tested for fragile skin in seniors

NCT ID NCT07084116

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether applying tretinoin 0.1% cream nightly to the forearms can reduce skin tears and bruising in people aged 55 and older. Fifteen participants with a history of skin tears and bruising used the cream on one arm and a bland cream on the other for six months. The goal was to see if the treatment lowers tear frequency and improves skin thickness.
