Tilt test: does Head-Down position fool brain monitors during surgery?

NCT ID NCT07467200

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study watches 60 women having laparoscopic hysterectomy to see if the head-down (Trendelenburg) position changes brain wave readings and oxygen levels during anesthesia. Researchers will record standard vital signs plus special brain sensors before and after tilting. No extra treatments are given—just careful observation to help doctors better understand anesthesia monitoring.
