First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This pilot study tests whether video consultations can safely assess and manage skin rashes caused by cancer treatments. Researchers will enroll 25 adult cancer patients with mild skin toxicity and see if telemedicine works as well as in-person visits. The goal is to reduce hospital visits while keeping care effective and safe.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

telemedicine assessment

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a convenient way for cancer patients to get skin issues checked from home, reducing hospital trips.

What could go wrong

This is a very small pilot study (25 people) with no comparison group, so results may not apply widely. Video assessments might miss serious problems that need in-person care.
