Summary

This study compares two behavioral treatments for children and young adults (ages 4–25) with intellectual disabilities who have severe self-injurious behavior that does not respond to standard therapy. The goal is to reduce the frequency of self-injury and the need for protective equipment. The study involves 16 participants and uses direct observation to measure changes in behavior.
