Needle therapy tested to lighten dark burn scars on face
NCT ID NCT07263841
Summary
This study aims to see which of two injected skin treatments works better to reduce dark pigmentation (hyperpigmentation) left on the face after a burn has healed. Sixty adults with healed facial burns will receive a series of small injections of either tranexamic acid or glutathione directly into the darkened scar areas. Researchers will measure the change in skin darkness over six months to determine which treatment is more effective at lightening the scars.
