New painkiller aims to ease suffering after abdominal surgery

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called TRD303 for pain after abdominal surgery. About 333 adults having elective abdominal surgery will receive either TRD303, a placebo, or an active comparator. The main goal is to see how well TRD303 controls pain over the first 72 hours after surgery, and to check its safety.
