Medical glue tested to seal Kids' painful mouth sores

NCT ID NCT06742983

Summary

This study tested if a single application of a medical glue (isobutyl cyanoacrylate) could help heal painful mouth ulcers in children faster and with less pain than standard antiseptic gel or saltwater rinses. Thirty children with traumatic mouth ulcers were divided into three groups to compare the treatments. Researchers tracked the children's pain levels and measured the size of the ulcers over nine days to see which treatment worked best.
