Race against time: does stopping longer at crash sites save lives or cost them?

NCT ID NCT07414186

Summary

This study aims to understand if the amount of time emergency medical teams spend treating severely injured patients at accident scenes affects whether those patients survive their first day in the hospital. Researchers will follow 400 trauma patients in the Paris region to see if performing more life-saving procedures on-site helps, or if getting to the hospital faster is always better. The goal is to find the right balance so future emergency responses can be improved.
