Summary

This early-phase study tests whether tranilast, a drug used for allergies, can safely shrink an enlarged prostate and improve urination in 30 men aged 55 to 75. The drug targets mast cells, which may drive prostate growth. Researchers will measure changes in prostate size, symptom scores, and quality of life.
