New study tests traction plus exercise for teen scoliosis

NCT ID NCT07448688

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a gentle, non-invasive spinal traction treatment to specific exercises can improve spine curvature, posture, and pain in teenagers with mild adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (curves between 10 and 25 degrees). About 40 teens will be randomly assigned to receive either exercise therapy alone or exercise plus lumbar traction. The goal is to see if the combination offers extra benefits beyond exercise alone.
