Summary
This study aims to develop international consensus recommendations for tracheostomy care in critically ill patients. Using the Delphi method, 35-40 global experts will work together to identify best practices for managing tracheostomy tubes, preventing infections, restoring communication and swallowing, and handling complications. The goal is to reduce variability in current practices and create standardized guidelines that improve patient recovery and quality of life across different healthcare settings.
