New antibody injection takes aim at Hard-to-Treat head and neck cancer
NCT ID NCT07601204
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug called TQB2922, given as a shot under the skin, for people with head and neck cancer that has come back or spread. The drug is a special antibody that targets two proteins (EGFR and c-Met) involved in cancer growth. The trial has two parts: first, finding the safest dose in about 128 adults aged 18–75, then checking if the drug works alone or with other treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
TQB2922 injection (a bispecific antibody targeting EGFR and c-Met proteins)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with head and neck cancer that has returned or spread.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so the drug may not prove effective or safe enough for wider use. Side effects are not yet fully known.
