Healthy volunteers help test new combo pill for heart failure
NCT ID NCT07046975
First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at how a new extended-release tablet combining two heart failure medicines (torsemide and spironolactone) is absorbed and processed by the body. Twenty-four healthy adults took the drug and provided blood and urine samples over time. The goal was to measure drug levels and excretion, not to treat any disease. This information helps ensure the tablet works as intended before testing in patients.
