New combo pill for heart failure put to the test in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT07015671

First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at how a new tablet combining two heart failure medicines (torsemide and spironolactone) is absorbed by the body. Twenty-four healthy adults took single doses of the combo pill, each drug alone, or both drugs together. The goal was to see if the combo works the same as taking the drugs separately. This helps doctors design better treatments for heart failure patients.
