First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a special lens implant (toric IOL) in 40 children aged 6 to 17 who had cataracts and astigmatism. The goal was to see if the lens could improve vision and reduce the need for glasses after surgery. Results showed better eyesight without glasses, but children may still need long-term follow-up care.
