New lens offers clearer vision for kids with cloudy eyes
NCT ID NCT06294795
Summary
This study tested a special type of lens implant, called a toric intraocular lens (IOL), in children who needed cataract surgery and also had astigmatism. The goal was to see if this lens could improve their distance and near vision, potentially reducing their need for glasses after surgery. Researchers compared the new toric lens against a standard lens in 40 children aged 6 to 18 years.
