First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether a cooling spray (vapocoolant) can reduce the pain of the numbing shot given before placing the Nexplanon birth control implant. About 70 people getting the implant will be randomly assigned to receive the spray or not, and then rate their pain. The goal is to make the procedure more comfortable.
