First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a topical cream (imipramine) to standard light therapy (PDT) can reduce immune suppression and improve treatment of actinic keratosis (pre-cancerous skin spots) in 48 veterans. Participants will receive PDT on their face and forearms, with imipramine applied to one side. The goal is to see if the combination reduces pain and clears more pre-cancers.
