Summary
This study compares a vitamin D-based cream (calcipotriol) to steroid injections for treating patchy hair loss caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition. Sixty adults with less than half of their scalp affected will receive one of the two treatments for 12 weeks. The goal is to see which approach leads to more hair regrowth and fewer side effects.
