First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a new gel called TOP-N53 on painful open sores (digital ulcers) on the fingertips of people with scleroderma, a rare disease that hardens skin and blood vessels. The study will check if the gel is safe and if it can reduce pain and improve blood flow. Fifteen adults aged 18 to 69 will receive either the gel or a placebo during up to 8 clinic visits over about a month.
