Summary
This study tested whether using a special stannous fluoride toothpaste, a cetylpyridinium chloride mouthwash, and a battery-powered toothbrush together can reduce dental plaque and gum inflammation (gingivitis) over 12 weeks. A total of 134 adults aged 18 to 70 with at least 20 natural teeth and signs of gum disease took part. Dentists measured plaque and gum health at the start and end of the study to see if the regimen worked.
