Summary
This study tested an experimental toothpaste with stannous fluoride to see if it could improve gum health and reduce plaque better than regular fluoride toothpaste. 154 adults with mild gum disease (gingivitis) brushed with either the test or regular toothpaste for 12 weeks. Researchers measured gum bleeding to see if the new toothpaste helped.
