First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study examined how different toothpastes (with fluoride, with lactoperoxidase, or without fluoride) affect tooth color and fluorescence in people undergoing fixed braces treatment. 45 participants were divided into three groups based on their toothpaste. Researchers used 3D scans and fluorescence imaging to measure color changes over time. The goal was to understand which toothpaste best prevents discoloration during orthodontic treatment.
