Does your toothpaste prevent white spots from braces?
NCT ID NCT06833970
Summary
This study aimed to see if different types of toothpaste affect tooth color and the development of white spots during orthodontic treatment with braces. Researchers observed 45 people who were already undergoing treatment, dividing them into three groups using fluoride, lactoperoxidase, or non-fluoride toothpaste. They used special scans and photos to measure color changes and white spot formation over time to compare the effects of the different toothpastes.
