Dental drill danger? study probes hidden heat in your teeth

NCT ID NCT07391124

Summary

This study aims to measure how much heat builds up inside the living part of a tooth when dentists shave a tiny bit of enamel from its sides, a common orthodontic step. Researchers will compare two different shaving tools on teeth scheduled for removal, using sensors to see which method creates less heat. The goal is to find the safest technique to prevent heat damage to the tooth's nerve and pulp.
