New braces technique aims to save your tooth roots
NCT ID NCT07458139
Summary
This study compares two methods for moving canine teeth during braces treatment to see which causes less root shortening. Sixty patients aged 12-30 who need premolars removed for orthodontic treatment will be randomly assigned to either a modified surgical-assisted technique or the standard approach. Researchers will measure root length changes on dental X-rays to determine if one method better preserves tooth roots during movement.
