Dental trial tests best way to save your tooth from a deep cavity
NCT ID NCT07300124
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common dental procedures works better for saving a permanent molar tooth with a very deep cavity and an inflamed but still healthy nerve (pulp). Researchers will compare a simpler procedure (direct pulp capping) with a slightly more involved one (partial pulpotomy). They will check how successful each is at keeping the tooth alive and healthy, and how much pain patients feel after each treatment, over a one-year period.
