Scientists try to bring dead teeth back to life with tissue transplants
NCT ID NCT07258888
Summary
This study tested a new biological approach to treat dead teeth with infected roots. Researchers compared transplanting a patient's own healthy tooth pulp tissue (with or without a growth factor gel) against the standard root canal procedure. The goal was to see if the transplanted tissue could restore feeling and vitality to the dead tooth, potentially offering a more natural alternative to a root canal.
