Which tooth test works best? study puts cold, heat, and electric pulp tests to the test
NCT ID NCT07434622
Summary
This study aimed to find out how accurate common dental tests are at telling if a tooth's nerve is alive or dead. Researchers tested 175 adults who needed a root canal, using cold, heat, and a small electric current on their tooth. They then compared the test results to what they actually saw when they opened the tooth, to see which test was most reliable.
