New dental putty challenges gold standard in root infection surgery

NCT ID NCT07246512

Summary

This study compares two dental filling materials used during surgery to treat persistent infections at the tip of a tooth's root. Researchers want to see if a newer putty material works as well as the current standard material for healing these infections. The study involves 110 adults who need this surgery after previous root canal treatment failed, and they'll be followed for one year to check healing progress.
