New dental technique could save your smile after tooth loss

NCT ID NCT07171879

Summary

This study tested two methods to prevent jawbone shrinkage after removing a damaged front tooth. Researchers compared leaving part of the tooth root in place versus using the patient's own blood mixed with bone particles to support healing. The goal was to find which approach better preserves bone and gum tissue for future dental work and appearance.
