Dentists test gentler cavity treatment to save teeth
NCT ID NCT06433297
Summary
This study compares two methods for treating deep cavities in adult back teeth that have moderate nerve inflammation. Researchers want to see if leaving a tiny bit of decay near the nerve (indirect capping) works as well as removing all decay, which sometimes exposes the nerve directly (direct capping). The goal is to find the best way to keep the tooth alive and healthy without needing a root canal.
