New tonsil surgery technique aims to reduce pain and bleeding
NCT ID NCT07457619
Summary
This study compared two different surgical methods for removing tonsils. Researchers wanted to see if a newer technique called 'coblation' causes less pain and bleeding after surgery than the traditional 'cold dissection' method. The trial involved 60 adults with chronic tonsillitis who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two procedures. The main goal was to determine which technique leads to better recovery with fewer complications.
