Snip or stretch? trial tests best fix for Baby's Tongue-Tie
NCT ID NCT05560750
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to treat tongue-tie in newborns who are having trouble breastfeeding. It will compare three approaches: a minor surgical cut, a stretching exercise program, or waiting to see if problems improve on their own. Researchers will follow 300 babies for up to five years to see which treatment is safest and most effective for helping with feeding.
