Can your tongue reveal gut disease? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07314151

Summary

This study aims to see if tools from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), like analyzing the tongue and pulse, can help identify patterns in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will compare 30 people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis to 30 healthy people. The main goal is to gather knowledge by looking for connections between TCM observations, lab tests, and patient symptoms to better understand IBD.
