Numbing cream may ease pain of labor induction procedure

Summary

This study tests if applying a topical anesthetic cream before inserting a balloon catheter for labor induction reduces pain. About 200 pregnant women (first-time and experienced mothers) will receive either the numbing cream or a placebo. Researchers will measure pain levels and patient satisfaction to see if the cream helps.
