Scientists scan Kids' calf muscles to unlock mystery of toe walking

NCT ID NCT07163520

Summary

This study aimed to better understand why some children walk on their toes for no known medical reason. Researchers used a special, painless ultrasound scan to measure stiffness in the calf muscle and Achilles tendon of 46 children who toe-walk, comparing them to children with typical walking patterns. The goal was to gather detailed information about muscle differences to help guide future treatments.
